Robert D. Abendschein Vice President, E&P Services
|
Mr. Abendschein has more than 24 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry. He began his career in 1984 with Anadarko, and has held positions of increasing responsibility including Onshore Reservoir Engineering manager, Onshore Operations manager and Vice President of Worldwide Deepwater Operations. Mr. Abendschein currently serves as vice president, exploration and production (E&P) services and is responsible for overseeing geoscience and engineering technology, land and land administration, supply-chain management, environment, health and safety, and process improvement. Mr. Abendschein holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and a registered professional engineer in Texas. |
Larry J. Abston Vice President, Corporate Audit

Mr. Abston joined Anadarko in August 2008. He has more than 25 years of experience in providing business advisory, project management and auditing services to large multi-national energy companies. Mr. Abston began his career in 1983 with Price Waterhouse LLP, in Dallas. He later served two years as Manager of Accounting Policy and Research at Amoco Corporation in Chicago. In 1998, he rejoined the Houston office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he served as Managing Director of Internal Audit Services prior to joining Anadarko as Vice President, Corporate Audit. Mr. Abston holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. |
David C. Bretches Vice President, Marketing & Minerals

Mr. Bretches has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry. He began his career in 1988 serving in drilling and operations engineering roles with ARCO Oil and Gas Company before moving to the marketing side of the business with Vastar Resources in 1995. He came to Anadarko in 2000 and has held positions of increased responsibility within the marketing and minerals departments. Mr. Bretches currently serves as vice president, Marketing & Minerals and is responsible for overseeing the company's global oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs) marketing activities as well as its hard minerals properties that include non-operated joint ventures and royalty arrangements in several coal, trona and industrial mineral mines located in the Rocky Mountains where Anadarko owns most of its fee mineral rights. Mr. Bretches holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA degree from the University of Texas. He serves on the Boards of Directors for the Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA), Member Source Credit Union, and the Center for Hearing and Speech. |
Bruce W. Busmire Vice President, Finance and Treasurer

Mr. Busmire joined Anadarko in May 2006. He has worked in the energy industry since 1980 and brings executive leadership experience in both accounting and investor relations to his position at Anadarko. The majority of his early career was spent at Amoco Corporation, where he progressed through a variety of accounting and managerial jobs. From there, Mr. Busmire served as Controller at Altura Energy and, in 2000, became Vice President of Investor Relations at Ocean Energy. In 2004, he participated in the start-up of Pickering Energy Partners and in 2005 he was named Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Controller of Noble Corporation. Mr. Busmire holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Lamar University and an M.B.A. from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has been active in a number of professional organizations including Financial Executives International, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Investor Relations Institute and the Petroleum Investor Relations Association. He is a life member of the Texas Parent Teacher Association, an honor he received for his volunteer work in the Spring Branch Independent School District. |
John M. Colglazier Vice President, Investor Relations and Communications

Mr. Colglazier has more than 25 years of experience in a variety of accounting, planning and investor relations positions with the company. He began his career in 1982 with Union Pacific Resources as a corporate auditor and has held positions of increasing responsibility within UPR and Anadarko. Mr. Colglazier currently oversees Anadarko's Investor Relations' program and its external and internal communications' departments. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas in 1982. Mr. Colglazier is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas. |
Mario M. Coll, III Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Mr. Coll was named Vice President of Information Technology Services and Chief Information Officer in May 2004. Mr. Coll brings 24 years of E&P experience in domestic and international engineering and operations, strategic planning and information management to his position. He served as Chief Information Officer and Vice President, Information Management for Devon Energy from 2003 to 2004 and as Vice President, Operational Planning and Chief Information Officer for Ocean Energy from 1997 to 2003. Prior to that, he worked for nine years at Mobil Oil, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering and operations. He began his professional career as a Senior Service Engineer for NL Industries, Inc. Mr. Coll holds a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University. Mr. Coll currently serves on the Interfaith of The Woodlands Board of Directors and is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Independent Petroleum Association of America. |
M. Cathy Douglas Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer

Ms. Douglas has more than 29 years of experience in accounting policy, financial reporting, internal controls and risk accounting. She began her career in 1979 with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, and has held positions of increasing responsibility including Controller; Assistant Controller; Corporate Accounting Manager; and Financial Reporting Manager. Ms. Douglas currently serves as Chief Accounting Officer responsible for overseeing Anadarko's accounting functions. Ms. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Houston. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas State Board of Public Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute. |
Douglas P. Hazlett Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Hazlett has more than 25 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry. He joined Anadarko in 1984, and has held positions of increasing responsibility within International and domestic exploration including Chief Geoscientist and Manager, US Onshore Exploration. Mr. Hazlett currently serves as Vice President, Exploration, US Onshore and Alaska, and his responsibilities include exploration in multiple shale gas basins including the Marcellus and Eagleford plays. Mr. Hazlett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Virginia Tech, and a Master of Science degree in geology from Colorado School of Mines. He is a member of AAPG, Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists and Houston Geological Society. |
Darrell E. Hollek Vice President, Gulf of Mexico

Mr. Hollek began his career in 1980 with Kerr-McGee Corporation as a field engineer in Morgan City, Louisiana, and has held positions of increasing responsibility including Director of Gulf of Mexico Production Operations, Vice President of Offshore Operations and Shelf Assets, Vice President of Gulf of Mexico and Worldwide Deepwater Operations, Vice President of U.S. Onshore Exploration, Production and Development, Vice President of Gulf of Mexico Exploration, Production and Development and Vice President of Environment, Health, Safety and Regulatory. Currently, Mr. Hollek is responsible for overseeing all of Anadarko's producing assets, operations and development activities in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the American Petroleum Institute and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He also serves on the board of The Offshore Energy Center and the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) and on the CEO Council for the Gulf of Mexico Foundation. |
Katie Jackson Vice President, Corporate Development

Ms. Jackson is responsible for the company's acquisitions and divestitures and U.S. business development department in her role as Vice President of Corporate Development. Ms. Jackson joined Anadarko in 2005, after working for UBS Investment Bank in London and Houston in energy banking. Most recently, she has been responsible for the company's acquisition and divestiture activities. Ms. Jackson began her career with Shell in 1994, where she worked as a drilling engineer and later in planning and marketing. She holds a BA and MA from Oxford University. |
James J. Kleckner Vice President, Operations

Mr. Kleckner has more than 25 years of global technical and leadership experience. He began his career in the oil and natural gas industry with Sun Oil Company and has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout the world including management roles in the North Sea, South America, China, U.S. onshore and Gulf of Mexico. Currently, Mr. Kleckner oversees the company's operations and development activities in the Rocky Mountain region. Mr. Kleckner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the American Petroleum Institute and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. He also serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the Colorado School of Mines Petroleum Engineering Department, the Executive Board for the Colorado Oil and Gas Association and the Executive Board for the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States. |
R. Douglas Lawler Vice President, Operations

Mr. Lawler has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry. He began his career in 1988 with Kerr-McGee and has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility within operations and business planning and analysis departments. Mr. Lawler currently serves as Vice President, Operations and is responsible for overseeing the company's operations and development activities throughout its Southern Region, which includes Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and Texas. Mr. Lawler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA degree from Rice University. He is a member of the World Affairs Council and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Lawler also is an instructor in Rice University's Energy Management Executive Education program. |
Ernest A. Leyendecker Vice President, Gulf of Mexico Exploration

Mr. Leyendecker began his career in 1982 with Marathon Oil Company serving in various domestic and international roles, including drilling, completions and reservoir engineering before leaving to join Enterprise Oil to pursue a leadership position in their Gulf of Mexico operations. After the acquisition of Enterprise Oil by Royal Dutch Shell plc, Mr. Leyendecker joined Kerr-McGee Corporation in 2002 and served as Exploration Manager for the shelf and deepwater Gulf of Mexico until the acquisition of Kerr-McGee by Anadarko. Since 2006, Mr. Leyendecker has held positions of increasing responsibility at Anadarko including General Manager for Worldwide Exploration – Engineering, International Negotiations and Planning and Director of Corporate Planning. He currently serves as Vice President, Exploration and is responsible for Anadarko’s exploration activities in the Gulf of Mexico and Corporate Planning. Mr. Leyendecker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Houston Geological Society. |
Donald H. MacLiver Vice President, Operations

Mr. MacLiver joined Anadarko in 1996 as Production Manager of Anadarko Algeria Company and has held positions of increasing responsibility in Algeria and internationally since that time. Mr. MacLiver currently oversees the company's international operations. Prior to joining Anadarko, Mr. MacLiver spent 14 years with Amoco in the U.K. and U.S. He graduated from Leeds University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. |
Frank J. Patterson Vice President, International Exploration

Mr. Patterson began his career in the oil and gas industry as a development geologist in 1982 with Sun Oil Company. During his career, he has been responsible for numerous deepwater Gulf of Mexico exploration programs, including Nansen, Boomvang, Gunnison, Redhawk, Constitution, Ticonderoga and Caesar discoveries and appraisals. Patterson currently oversees Anadarko’s international exploration activities and has managed the Jubilee and Tweneboa discoveries in Ghana, as well as the Wahoo and Itaipu pre-salt discoveries in Brazil. Mr. Patterson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Certified Petroleum Geologist and a member of the AAPG, as well as the Houston Geological Society and SPE. He also participates in a number of exploration management groups in the Houston area. |
Gregory M. Pensabene Vice President, Government Relations

Mr. Pensabene manages Anadarko's federal and state government relations programs. He joined Anadarko as Vice President, Government Relations, in 1997. Based in Washington, D.C., Mr. Pensabene has extensive experience in law and public policy matters related to natural resources development. Immediately prior to joining Anadarko, he was a partner in law firms based in Washington, DC. Mr. Pensabene completed the Institute of Business Economics and Management at the University of Southern California School of Business and received his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Mr. Pensabene also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association and has held positions of leadership in the Natural Resources Section of the American Bar Association. Mr. Pensabene also is a member of the Board of Trustees of Meridian International Center and the Board of Directors at the U.S.-Algeria Business Council. |

Mr. Rea has more than 28 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry. He began his career with Anadarko in 1981 as an engineer, and has held positions of increasing responsibility including Manager, Midstream Services and Manager, Gas Field Services. Mr. Rea currently serves as Vice President, Midstream and is responsible for overseeing the company's midstream operations, which are primarily located onshore in the United States. Mr. Rea also serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Western Gas Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Anadarko, which is the general partner of Western Gas Partners, LP. Mr. Rea holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and an MBA degree from the University of Houston. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Wyoming Pipeline Authority and is a member of the Gas Processors Association and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. |
Albert L. Richey Vice President

Mr. Richey serves as Vice President, reporting to Al Walker, Chief Operating Officer. Previously, he served Anadarko as Vice President, Corporate Development. He joined the Company in 1987, and served as Vice President-Treasurer until 2005. Prior to joining Anadarko, he held positions in corporate planning, finance and treasury with the Offshore Company, a predecessor to Transocean, United Energy Resources and Sandefer Oil & Gas Company. Mr. Richey holds Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Virginia. Donald R. Sinclair Vice President

Donald R. Sinclair serves as Vice President of Anadarko. Since October 2009, he has also served as President and CEO of Western Gas Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Anadarko, which is the general partner of Western Gas Partners, LP, a publicly traded midstream master limited partnership. Prior to joining Anadarko, Mr. Sinclair was a founding partner and served as President of Ceritas Energy, LLC, a midstream energy company headquartered in Houston with operations in Texas, Wyoming and Utah from February 2003 to September 2009. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sinclair was President of Duke Energy Trading and Marketing LLC, one of the nation's largest marketers of natural gas and wholesale electric power, and served as Chairman of the Energy Risk Committee for Duke Energy Corporation. Prior to joining Duke, Mr. Sinclair served as Senior Vice President of Tenneco Energy and as President of Tenneco Energy Resources. Previously, as one of the original principals and officers at Dynegy (formerly NGC Corporation), he served for eight years in various officer positions, including Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer where he was in charge of all risk management activities and commercial operations. Mr. Sinclair earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University. |
