Our new geoscientists will immediately join an active team and begin contributing to the success of Anadarko from day one. Potential first assignments include development/operations, exploration or technology teams. These teams are active in the U.S. Onshore, Gulf of Mexico and many international areas. Follow up assignments are chosen to further develop our geoscientists’ careers and meet our business needs. The diversity of our project portfolio provides opportunities for career development considerably beyond other independent petroleum companies and rivals the opportunities of the majors, especially when considering staff size.
On the job training is combined with our geoscience training program, which is more intense during your first four years, utilizing both in-house courses taught by our staff and industry courses taught by highly rated industry instructors. Training focuses on geo-technical subjects but also includes business, personal, leadership and software skills.
We utilize our experienced staff to provide mentorship to new hires to accelerate your development and ability to contribute.
At Anadarko you will experience a culture that values technical creativity, innovation, continuous learning and professional excellence. We have achieved an effective work/life balance that has contributed to being awarded Houston’s Top Workplace for a large company for 2010 and 2011 by the Houston Chronicle. Our compensation program is extremely competitive compared to our peers with rewards based on corporate and individual performance
