Energy Marketing activities are highly analytical and involve moving the oil and gas that Anadarko produces over a complex and often bottlenecked network of pipelines and hubs. Energy marketers and controllers facilitate the scheduling and pricing of the physical flows of oil and gas through the system, with an emphasis on finding the most cost effective and profitable way to sell and transport resources.
Responsibilities may include reconciling gas flows with internal reporting systems, keeping pipeline imbalances to a minimum, and solving problems and creating alternatives during times of capacity constraints such as upstream or downstream emergencies.
