HOUSTON, May 3, 2012 - Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) today announced it has been ranked fourth among the top workplaces in the United States, according to the first annual National Top Workplaces list, compiled by Workplace Dynamics. Anadarko was selected as the Top Workplace in Houston in both 2010 and 2011, for companies with more than 1,000 employees, and was also named Denver's 2012 Top Workplace just last month.
"We are humbled and honored to be named in the top five of the Nation's Top Workplaces, "said Anadarko Chairman and CEO Jim Hackett. Combining a strong commitment to our core values with a deep portfolio of assets worldwide empowers our employees with the freedom to constantly learn and improve at every level and makes Anadarko a challenging and rewarding place to work."
Anadarko's National Top Workplaces ranking is based on Workplace Dynamics' comparison of its 2011 employee survey results, from more than 800 companies nationwide that employ more than 1,000 people. According to the survey results, Anadarko's ranking was based on its overall work environment, strong set of well-defined core values, amenities, an on-site physician, compensation, efficient processes and professional challenges.
