Powder River Basin CBM Gathering System
Overview
Anadarko owns and operates the Powder River coal-bed methane gathering system located in the Powder River Basin of northeastern Wyoming. This system gathers and compresses natural gas from approximately 90 individual central delivery point (CDP) compressor stations into the Fort Union, MIGC and Thunder Creek systems for redelivery into the interstate pipeline grid at Glenrock, Wyoming, as well as TransCanada’s Bison Pipeline and into Williston Basin Interstate Pipeline. These CDPs are fed by numerous wellhead operators. Revenues are generated by gathering, dehydration, treating and compression fees charged to shippers under contractual arrangements negotiated by Anadarko.
