East Texas
Springfield Pipeline's Tyler County Gathering System
Overview
Springfield Pipeline LLC (Springfield) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Anadarko Gathering Company LLC, and owns and operates a gathering system in Tyler, Polk and Jasper Counties of Texas. Springfield is classified as a utility by the State of Texas. Springfield gathers natural gas to a cryogenic gas plant, operated by Marlin Midstream (Marlin) in Tyler County where it is treated for CO2, dehydrated and then processed to recover natural gas liquids. Springfield has aggressively expanded its gathering system and has budgeted further expansion of the system through 2008.
Springfield has gathering, treating and dehydration facilities for in excess of 150 MMcf/d, with opportunities to expand if area production growth continues. Marlin has cryogenic processing facilities for about 100 MMcf/d and JT facilities for an additional 25 MMcf/d. Springfield also has the capability to bypass and blend incremental gas if the current facilities become loaded, which allows them to keep gas flowing at field production rates of about 200 MMcf/d. The MAOP of the gathering system is 1,440 psig and the current operating pressure ranges from 800 to 1,100 psig.
Springfield has two residue connections: one with Tennessee Gas Pipeline and another with Houston Pipeline. Currently, all residue gas from the Springfield system is flowing to Tennessee, which is the premium market in the area by a significant margin. Springfield has metering capacity to Tennessee of about 200 MMcf/d.
