Anadarko is the largest independent leaseholder and producer in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. With more than 2.2 million net acres and eight operated floating facilities, we have the necessary infrastructure, rig commitments and skill sets to expand on our proven track record and accelerate the value of new projects and opportunities.

Independence Hub
In July 2007, production began from the world's deepest production platform at Independence Hub, located on Mississippi Canyon block 920, approximately 123 miles southeast of Biloxi, Miss. Anadarko operates the facility with approximately 61% of the throughput capacity. We also operate eight of the ten anchor fields.
Independence Hub is the largest natural gas processing facility in the Gulf of Mexico, with capacity to bring 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day to American consumers. The massive project spans 142 blocks, or about 1,800 square miles, in waters up to 9,000 feet deep. When operating at or near capacity, Independence Hub accounts for approximately 10% of all natural gas production from the Gulf.

K2 Complex
The 100-percent owned Marco Polo field, discovered in April 2000, is located on Green Canyon Block 608 about 160 miles south of New Orleans, Louisiana. Beyond being a single-field development project, Marco Polo anchors a hub-and-spoke facility that will allow the company to bring additional discoveries on line more quickly and economically than traditional methods. The Marco Polo floating production facility, which is owned by a third party and operated by Anadarko, was built to handle 120,000 Bbls/d and 300 MMcf/d.
Anadarko has continued to aggressively explore the Green Canyon area with excellent results. In September 2002, Anadarko and our partners discovered the K2 field, and in November 2003, Anadarko discovered the K2 North field. Both projects are tied back to the Marco Polo facility.
