Since beginning activity in 2006, Anadarko has taken extensive steps to minimize the effects of energy development by investing in infrastructure upgrades to enhance safety for all drivers in the areas where we operate. Anadarko and its partners have invested to improve more than 220 miles of private, state-route, state-forest and township roadways across four counties.
The Broader Benefits of Marcellus Shale Development
The Marcellus Shale is providing new opportunities for North-central Pennsylvania, which has ranked among the nation's leading regions for job creation during the past few years. These activities also contribute to local towns through induced employment and economic activity. Energy development also means significant tax and royalty revenues for local, state and federal governments. Click here for more on the Shale Story in Pennsylvania.
