Giving Back to Colorado Communities
Anadarko's operations are a major contributor of revenue to Colorado.
For every new horizontal well we drill, Coloradans receive:
Anadarko plans to invest more than $2 billion in capital in Colorado in 2014, and the company's operating activities generated more than $600 million in tax revenue, salaries and royalties for state and local governments from 2007-2012. In Weld County alone, which is in the heart of the Wattenberg field, Anadarko paid more than $74 million in taxes that directly benefit local schools, emergency response and other county programs in 2012. We're proud to employ approximately 1,400 men and women in Colorado directly, as well as support indirect employment throughout the northeastern part of the state.
Community engagement is also important to Anadarko. We regularly meet with stakeholders in our operating areas and hold open houses to discuss activities, answer questions and listen to concerns.
Anadarko recognizes the importance of giving back to the communities where we live and operate. Voted among Denver's Top Work Places in 2014, 2013 and 2012 by the Denver Post and the recent recipient of the National Philanthropy Day Outstanding Large Business/Corporation in Colorado, Anadarko's employees are committed to supporting organizations that develop youth, fund education and provide for those who are in need. We are proud to partner with the following organizations:
- American Cancer Society
- Boys and Girls Club
- Greeley Stampede
