 Wattenberg Horizontal Drilling Program

Anadarko’s Wattenberg Horizontal (HZ) program in northeastern Colorado targets the liquids-rich Niobrara and Codell formations more than 6,000 feet below the earth’s surface. Primarily located north and east of Denver in the Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Basin, the Wattenberg field is situated in the heart of one of Anadarko’s core operating areas in the Rocky Mountain region.

Every characteristic of the Wattenberg HZ program aligns to make it among the largest and most cost-efficient oil and natural gas development projects in the company’s U.S. onshore portfolio.

Premier Land Position and Mineral Ownership

In October 2013, Anadarko announced an acreage exchange that consolidated the company's operated acreage positions, enabling more efficient development planning and infrastructure utilization.
