Anadarko Energy Production in the Greater Natural Buttes
Anadarko is the largest producer of clean-burning natural gas in the state of Utah, producing enough natural gas every day to meet the needs of more than 2.5 million average American homes.
Impact on the Utah Economy and Local Communities
Anadarko is a six-time recipient of the Earth Day Award from the Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining and received the 2015 Governor's Award for "Energy Community Leader of the Year" because of our volunteer service through financial donations, totaling more than $80,000.
In 2012, Anadarko worked with the U.S. Department of the Interior, tribal leaders and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to achieve approval for an expansion program in the Greater Natural Buttes area that prolongs the life of the field.

“Anadarko is one of those companies that get it. Their personnel understand it is not always about the bottom line. That by reaching out to affected interests that they can move forward with much needed projects, so that we can have appropriate development and in a way that respects the values of all.”
